I was reading the Star Online and one news that caught my attention was that the police are looking at over 8000 drivers who accumulated more than 15 points to bring forth their licences.Well i have to say that I am really happy to be rid of these drivers...well at least for now while they have time to reflect themselves by going back to driving school.
But my concern here is not only about them but also it came to my mind that somewhere last year it was revealed that several ministers actually had a longs list of unpaid traffic summons. Now if im not mistaken even our deputy prime minister had about RM7000 unpaid summonses , some dating back to 1999.Can somebody tell me what the heck is going on here? Why are they still having their driving licences?Datuk Seri Samy Vellu himself has 143 traffic summonses. Can somebody bring a calculator here and count the potential accumulated points for that?First of all the law says that for that unpaid amount he should actually be facing a jail term. But how does ministers in this country get away with all these while expecting the citizens to be law abiding ones.I don't care if the DPM was singing "It wasn't Me" but that traffic summonses doesn't come from thin air...does it? Somebody must be accountable for it and that somebody must have their licence revoke.
Im not sure but i think they must just really think we're bunch of idiots to accept ridiculous excuses whenever they are caught without their pants on. Ministers who did not pay the taxes for cars they brought out of Langkawi ...they should be punish by the law and the mere summons is just a joke. They can't say they just forgot to pay coz its not a sack of peanuts we're talking here,it's a 1 tonne monster.Somehow ministers always gets away with everything and i'm sick of it.We have a liar in our beloved Jasin MP who claims at first it wasn't his company but later it was found that it was on his interest that he ask the customs to close one eye.A liar in parliament?Boy these fellas sure has thick skin.
Lets not forget we have a real estate tycoon in our Commercial Crime Chief who accumulated wealth like as if he was a pro.He should be writing books like " How I Secretly Became A Millionaire In Real Estate While I Bust Dirty White Collars". For those of you who's still trying to make your first million in real estate.......oh snap!!!!!!

What would do if you have tons of second world war weaponary and a host of obsolete war ships stuck back in the naval backyard? Why sell it to the Malaysians of course!. You can never go wrong with that. There's always a fool here who would even buy your used millitary underware supply for a billion bucks. All you need to do is find the right ambitious fellow whose got connections with the defence ministry and pay him some commision.Yeap.That's it. In case you're wondering I'm referring to the two scorpene and a refurbised Agosta submarine( which costs us RM 4.5 billion) that we proudly display as part of our heavily under utilised naval fleet. If you take a look at the picture, you will beforgiven if you mistakenly thought it was pieces of Pringles(TM) welded together which is capable of boarding 100 very daring sea crew. Now i've wrote about this about a year back crying out to the goverment about the bad deal they're getting themselves into, but i guess it fell on deaf ears.
Now what would you make of this? Apart from a guy's greed to even sell his country off for some monetary gain I can't see anything positive at all.Maybe i'm not seeing it rightly.Maybe I should take a look from their point of view but i am having difficulty seeing that far off my arse.
Through our comical history of national defence we have seen how many of them, aircraft and helis crashing like there's no tomorrow. You name it, all the sawah padi had been visited by at least an aircraft. The Nuri's ? don't even let me get started.Sadly, none of the fallen angels was shot by a single stray missile. It seems nature itself is our worst enemy. We might need to form an alliance just to fend them off.
But accidents do happen, don't they?Maybe. Frankly i don't even trust the submarines in the hands of our national defence. After all they were easily robbed hundreds of guns from their armoury couple of years back. What would stop this from falling into the hands of smart pirates? In fact who figured that anyone would use the straits or any oceanic means to attack this country in the first place? If I were the enemy the best way I know to infiltrate this country is via down south.Thats where millions of Indons miraculously gain entry into Malaysia without trace.Heck they could send in a batallion with our lines not even take noticing. In fact, if they wave a jalur gemilang, they may even get to vote.

Im not sure if the name John Barger actually rings any bell to any of you.If you haven't heard of the name then its already sad. Some 10 years ago, Mr Barger was the first man who actually started a blog.in 1997 he started posting short comments and links on his website called Robot Wisdom. It contains articles that is mostly self authored with links on various topics including Barger's favourite subject, artificial intelligence or A.I as we all know it. Robot Wisdom became a phenomenal hit and talks of a harcopy version of it was even mentioned in the 2000-2001. Barger's prolific postings on Usenet made him famous, if not popular of course this was before the blogosphere came about. Later Barger's posting became more of links to articles by James Joyce,AI, IT culture among others. By 2005 Barger was already in a financial difficulty and was trying his best to generate revenue via paypal donations. Sadly by end of that year Paul Boutin, a writer for Wired magazine spotted Barger with a familiar face who was a friend of Boutin. Barger was homeless and was living on the streets.Boutin mentioned that Barger was living on less than a dollar a day.He couldn't afford to renew Robot Wisdom and but finally after a plea on his free hosted blog to save Robot Wisdom he managed to collect enough funds to save the site. Recently Barger was spotted in Arkansas but still its everyone's guess what he's up to these days.Considering that some bloggers actually made big bucks from their blogs,it is a sad turn of events for the person who actually first brought the term weblog to the world wide web.
John Barger in 2005
